Behind every great moment at Champions Retreat, there’s a menu. It was true when our founding legends met in 1999, and it’s a tradition we love to extend daily across our tables, patios, parties and firepits.
You’ll find that our culinary program crosses many paths here – many of which lead back to the Grille House for fine dining, live music, Sunday Brunch and more. It also follows the cart path to the Halfway House for casual bites at the turn, it knocks on The Barn door for banquets and celebrations, and cozies up around every cottage fire pit and private dining room. That’s right, we’ll meet you at your place…just tell us when and how many bottles!
We invite you to escape into the experiences below, while we fire up the kitchen and open up the wine cellar. There’s no limit to the celebrations ahead, and wherever you’re having one of those ‘New Member’ moments, we hope we can help uncork the bottle, pour the glass, cut the cigar and set the table.

There’s hospitality, and then there’s Champions Retreat: a preternatural want-for-nothing lifestyle that is always one step ahead of expectations, regardless of the occasion. While every day at Champions Retreat is an out-of-office experience, Thursday has a way of igniting our taste for lively culinary experiences. On Friday nights the Grille House grooves with Live Music, while fire pit relaxation is aided and abetted by Fire & Ice pairings of cocktails and hand-picked cigars. Be sure to save an appetite and the weekend’s best golf stories for Sunday Brunch.
For those with an appetite for entertaining, our Chef’s Table experience is one for the books. Assemble your group of up to 20 people, select the savory menu of your choice, and let our culinary savants put their skills and service on display. Not all heroes swing golf clubs! Grab a chef’s knife and prepare for an Immersive Cooking Class for up to six people, led by our Executive Chef. This hands-on four-course meal with paired wine is the inside track to developing a taste for the finer things at Champions Retreat. (Please note: there is a $75 per person fee for this experience.)
It’s always a good pour when Rouchi brandishes the bottle opener. Uncork this Wine Class for up to six people and go behind the cellar with our F&B Director with a tour of the Club’s celebrated wine list. In between sips, refresh the palate with specialty hors d’oeuvres and get used to toasting freely and often. (Please note: there is a $50 per person fee for this experience.)
For a spirited intro to our Champion’s cocktail culture, look no further than this Mixology Clinic. Dabble in the Club’s distilled favorites and enjoy hors d’oeuvres alongside the drink masters driving our extensive bar program…good folks to know indeed. A Tehran, Iran native, Fariborz attended and graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He made his way to Chicago, where he worked at the Lake Shore Country Club for 13 years.
This range of experiences has nurtured the hands-on and accommodating service philosophy Fariborz has demonstrated since joining Champions Retreat in 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, reading, cooking, trying new wines, and rooting for the Real Madrid Football Club.
